Detox Tip & Tricks

We all hear about  different ways to detox and how healthy detox can be for our bodies.

  1. Water–It is important that as your body is releasing toxins, you flush them out of your system immediately. It is also helpful to alkalize your body by adding lemon juice to your water.
  2. Move! It is important that you go on a walk or do a quick burst training routine.  You don’t want to overexert your body, as it is working hard to rid your system of all of the toxins. However, it is really important to make sure your body is moving to quickly eliminate the toxins.
  3. Infrared Sauna– Sweating is an incredible way to flush toxins out of your system. Heat not only activates detox pathways, but it will also aid your system in killing-off infections as well. (20 minutes daily infrared is best.)
  4. Lymphatic Massage– Toxins are moved throughout the body through our lymph nodes. I massage can be an effective way to get lymph flowing and push the toxins out of your body.
  5. Epsom Salt Bath– Epsom salt baths are cheap, relaxing, and effective at removing toxins out of the body. Place 1 cup of Epsom salt in warm bath water with a couple drops of your favorite essential oils and soak for 30 minutes.
  6. Coffee Enema– Coffee enemas are an extremely effective way to flush toxins out of the liver. Dr. Datis Karrazian wrote a great article on the benefits of coffee enemas and a how to guide if you have never done one before. Check it out here Here
  7. Alkalize your body— By far the most effective way of alkalizing the body is with dynamic fruits and greensputting some fresh lemon in your water or consuming an extra scoop or two of dynamic greens is perfect for alkalizing your system and allowing it to detox.
